A world leader in the public safety, aviation, marine and aerospace markets seeks a Field Technical Representative.
Responsibilties:
- Serve as primary liaison between DCCI and Prime on all technical, administrative and budgetary matters. Provide proactive, direct communications hot-link between DCCI, Prime and NASA.
- Exercise functional authority for all field planning, organizing, execution, control, integration, reporting, and completion of engineering projects as assigned.
- Coordinate project activities between Prime and DCCI concerned with requirements definition, technical development, scheduling, and resolution of engineering design, test and evaluation issues.
- Develop and maintain status reports for assigned projects according to project requirements.
- Provide daily updates to DCCI on program related matters. (Email and telecon) Provide communications “hot link” directly to DCCI management on high level program issues.
- Assist DCCI Staff with development of proposals, quotations and other contract documentation, as required.
- Maintain current awareness with the state of the arts employed in DCCI products; e.g. materials, processes and new technology developments that may be applicable to existing or new company products.
- Provide rapid response support to Prime and NASA for CSSS equipment. Provide on-site knowledge of DCCI design and manufacturing processes.
- Provide field support of sizing data collection, analysis and size selection for CSSS equipment. Provide on-site support for crewmember-equipment fit check exercises. Coordinate custom sizing requirements with DCCI.
- Provide problem analysis, reporting and resolution. Provide on-site technical expertise so as to expedite identification and resolution of any equipment deficiencies that may develop during design, development, training or routine maintenance , processing or repair processes.
- Provide routine and unscheduled equipment maintenance and repair support.
- Provide on-site diagnostic expertise to assist in analysis and resolution of equipment anomalies.
- Provide on-site analysis of program activites to insure compliance with DCCI quality system requirements.
- Provide on-site expert knowledge of technical skills required for in-field support of CSSS equipment, up to an including training of Prime/NASA technicians.
- Provide on-site assistance with inventory and configuration control.
- Conduct on-going analysis of Deliverable Items List and coordinate with DCCI Scheduling and Materials Control personnel to insure compliance with DIL schedule requirements.
- Conduct field spares requirements analysis to insure timely ordering/receipt of required materials.
- Assist DCCI designers with the design and development of CSSS components, subassemblies and assemblies. Originate and develop design concepts.
- Research materials and develop material specifications.
- Coordinate field test and evaluation of prototypes. Prepare reports of same.
- Assist in the development and review of engineering documentation, to include drawings, bills of material, standards specifications, part number request sheets, and other documents listed as part of the Data Requirements Listing of the Data Procurement Document.
- Confer with Prime and NASA to determine program requirements and objectives.
- Maintains status reports of program/project activities on a regular basis to insure completion within funding and schedule allocations.
- Support on-site Performance Assessment and Management Reviews.
- Support implementation and maintenance of Configuration Management Plan.
- Support implementation and maintenance of Data Management Plan.
- Support development and update of life cycle cost analyses.
- Support System Requirements Definition and Management element.
- Support Verification and Validation Planning and Control element.
- Support Integrated Analysis Planning and Execution element.
- Support development and analysis of Integrated Models and Simulations.
- Support Suit Element Systems Engineering and Integration efforts.
- Support Vehicle Interface Element Systems Engineering and Integration.
- Provide support for Test and Facility Systems Engineering element
- Other duties as assigned by the DCCI Director of Research and Development.
Minimum Requirements:
- At least 4 years experience with the operational use, maintenance, and repair of pressure suit systems.
- Competency in all technical disciplines associate to pressure suit field support including, but not limited to fitting and adjustment, vehicle integration, stitching, cementing, link-net repair, assembly and testing.
- Demonstrated verbal and writing skills sufficient to ensure effective communication between Prime, NASA, DCCI and end users.
- Bachelor of Science degree desirable.
